Box wall
Box wall baffles are another type of baffle construction used in down jackets. They are created by sewing a separate material between the inner and outer layers of fabric, forming brick-shaped chambers that hold the down fill. Box wall baffles are warmer, more stable, and more efficient than stitch through baffles, but they also create more bulk and weight. Box wall baffles are suitable for expedition-level down jackets that are designed for extreme cold conditions.
