Stitch through baffles

Stitch through baffles are a type of baffle construction used in down jackets. They are created by sewing the inner and outer layers of fabric together, forming separate chambers that hold the down fill. Stitch through baffles are lighter, cheaper, and more compact than box wall baffles, but they also create cold spots where the stitching compresses the down and reduces its loft. Stitch through baffles are suitable for lightweight down jackets that are not meant for extreme cold conditions.
